Fallen Heroes started from our founder having an extreme case of PTSD. For those of you not familiar with PTSD here is a brief description:
PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) is a mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or even witnessing a life-threatening event like combat, a training accident, or sexual assault.
After this type of event, it’s normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping —but most people start to feel better after a few weeks or months. If it’s been longer than a few months and the thoughts and feelings from the event are still upsetting you or causing problems in your life, you may have PTSD.
Everyone experiences PTSD differently. Sometimes, PTSD symptoms can start months or even years after the event. Or symptoms can come and go over a period of several years.

The one thing that kept him hanging in there over all those years is a little toy train that his son made him years back that says "#1 Dad". He keeps this train on his nightstand and when he is in times of distress he turns to it to remember the other reasons out there to keep fighting through the struggle. In return he wanted to get into making customized items that could potentially be sentimental and special for others.
He states -"To do something to help one person struggling, is to change the world. Maybe not save the world, but making a positive impact in at least one life could potentially save THEIR whole world. This is my way of continuing to serve my country."
